An attempt to serve court papers last week resulted in an arrest in Utica. The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department traveled to Utica to serve the court papers and the person to receive the papers was found in a shed. Sheriff Steve Cox says it was at that point the service process became an investigation as the officer found and seized alleged high-grade marijuana from Colorado, other THC items from Colorado, drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine drug paraphernalia and a small quantity of methamphetamine.
Cox says they also arrested 50-year-old Lyall Duane Gramenz of Utica for the alleged drug violations Gramenz was processed and later released pending the filing of formal charges.
