The Class 1 sectional round games of the MSHSAA Tournament were last night.
In area results: Norborne girls improved to 27-1 with a fairly easy 69-35 win over Pattonsburg, which ends at 16-12. Norborne will next play South Nodaway at 26-3. South Nodaway beat South Holt 44-21 in the sectional game. The Girls quarterfinal game is March 6th at 6pm at the St Joseph Civic Center.
Green City girls improved to 27-1 with a 54 to 50 win over Canton. Next up for Green City is a game March 6th at 6pm against Community, which is 27-1. They beat Chamois 61-39.
I boys games Princeton improved to 25-4 with a 58-43 win over Orrick. Next up for Princeton is Jefferson, a 68-64 overtime winner over Mound City. That quarterfinal game at the St Joseph Civic Center is on the 6th at 7:45pm.
The Meadville boys advance to the next round with a 54-39 win over La Plata. Meadville at 26-2 will play St Elizabeth at 23-5 Friday at 8:15pm at Moberly Area Community College.
