The Missouri Highway Patrol investigated two serious injury accidents in Sullivan County Thursday.
At about 6:00 am on Highway 6, east of Milan, a single-vehicle accident left the driver, 54-year-old Naioma Gladfelder of Milan with serious injuries. She was taken to Sullivan County Memorial Hospital for treatment. The report states Gladfelder ran off the road, overcorrected and ran off the road again, hitting an embankment and her vehicle overturned. She was not wearing a safety belt at the time of the accident.
At about 8:00 am on Route O, south of Browning, a single-vehicle accident resulted in serious injuries for 27-year-old Joseph Walker of Browning. According to the report, Walker was eastbound on Route O and ran off the right side of the road and his vehicle overturned, coming to rest in a creek. He was taken to Northeast Regional Hospital for treatment.
