The Chillicothe Audit for 2024/25 was presented to the Chillicothe City Council by Bob Conrad at Monday’s City Council meeting. Conrad told the Council this was a good audit. He reviewed several areas, including the TIF that is scheduled to be paid off by early 2027.
Conrad told the council that they made a good decision several years ago to have the County collect the property taxes. He says the city receives 97% of what is collected.
He also talked about the use of grant funds for city projects, including at the airport, and how those help the city with its finances.
He also mentioned the city’s LAGERS retirement system and how the city and CMU have stayed current with their obligations to pay into the system.
