Chillicothe Police Report for Thursday

Eight-one calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Thursday.

Police received a report of a tractor-trailer swerving and speeding westbound on Highway 36.  Since the incident was outside city limits, Linn County authorities were notified.

Throughout the morning, officers made several traffic stops in town.. A speeding warning was given during a stop at Business 36 and Washington.

At 9:48 a.m., a Braymer resident reported a theft. Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office noted the individual frequently files similar complaints.

Emergency crews responded at 10:29 a.m. to a two-vehicle crash in the 1300 block of Washington Street. Two people were injured and taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment.

Later in the afternoon, at 3:46 p.m., officers attempted to locate a subject on 1st Street at the request of a Caldwell County deputy.
