CHS Girls Tennis Sweeps Cameron for MEC Win

Tuesday evening, the Lady Hornets hosted the Lady Dragons of Cameron at Danner Park for an MEC head-to-head. Everyone got lots of match play in with all the normal varsity matches plus all JV doubles play and additional JV singles play that does not always get to happen. Chillicothe swept Cameron in all varsity matches and most JV matches. The team looked consistent and patient on every court, adjusting their style of play as needed. Scores were as follows:

#1 Singles Smith beat Erwin 8-5

#2 Singles Bonderer beat Foster 8-1

#3 Singles Gatson beat G. Spicer 8-0

#4 Singles Mathews beat Gwendalin Barton 8-0

#5 Singles Leppin beat Lillian Todd 8-4

#6 Singles Moore beat K. Spicer 8-3

Helena England & Rylee Rempel beat Barton & Todd 6-0

Isabel Nagel & Leighton Kelly beat Hamilton & Ramey 6-3

Mackenzie Bagley & Arisha Shafiq beat Salgado & Shelton 7-5

Halle Gabrielson & Jocelynn Albrecht beat Salgado & Shelton 6-4

Addison Fagan & Emily Ford beat Mitchell & Cole 6-2

Suzannah Leifker & Makaila Kennedy lost to Mitchell & Cole 2-6

Dayahna White & Amelia Brown lost to Hampton & Oaks 3-6

Gracie Moore & Bently Peery lost to Hampton & Oaks 0-6

England, Nagel, Kelly, Gabrielson, Albrecht each played a JV singles match and won each.

Rempel & Leifker both got a JV singles match, too, but lost their respective matches.
