The Chillicothe Lady Hornets volleyball program celebrated a clean sweep over Lafayette on Thursday evening.
The Lady Hornets varsity earned a decisive 3-0 victory (25-15, 25-14, 25-10). Leading the way were Lyla Beetsma with 13 kills, 14 digs, and 3 blocks, and Emerson Staton with 12 kills and 4 blocks. Ava Leamer added 6 kills and 10 digs, while Carman Woodworth tallied 24 assists and 8 digs to direct the Lady Hornets offense.
Junior Varsity picked up a 2-0 win (25-15, 25-18), and the C team completed the sweep with a 2-0 win (25-12, 25-16).
The Lady Hornets now turn their attention to a 40-team tournament at HyVee Arena on Saturday.
