Just over 200 calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department from Friday to Sunday.
On Friday, officers responded to two false alarms, a three-vehicle accident with no injuries, a hit-and-run involving a parked car, and a minor vehicle versus pedestrian accident.
Saturday’s calls included several traffic stops, a business alarm, an unattended death on Park Lane, and a two-vehicle crash without injuries. Officers also handled a threat complaint involving a dog dispute, a disturbance at an apartment complex, a welfare check on unattended children, and secured an abandoned motel after finding an open door.
On Sunday, police assisted hospital staff with a disruptive patient, cleared a debris hazard from Highway 36, and provided security at the Fall Festival. Officers also investigated a package theft, handled a trespassing complaint, monitored a malfunctioning traffic signal, and checked a suspicious activity report near Head Start School, which was determined to be unfounded.
