A report of a field fire north of Chillicothe Monday afternoon summoned Chillicothe firefighters. The brush truck was called to the location on US 65 at LIV 226 at about 1:12 pm and arrived in seven minutes. They arrived to find a partially harvested bean field burning. Mutual aid was requested. Chula arrived and provided support. About 2,500 gallons of water was used, and about 8 acres burned.
The fire crew was on the scene for about 2 hours.
