Safe Sitter Program Offered In Chillicothe

A Safe Sitter class for middle school students will be offered by the Livingston County Health Center on Friday, October 24th, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Students will learn and practice important safety skills, handle emergencies, care for children, and how to treat illnesses and injuries. In addition, students learn important business skills, including how to screen jobs, set a wage, and work with employers.

The class will be the Safe Sitter Essentials class with Pediatric CPR Certification. This program is designed to prepare students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they are home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting.

Registration is required, and there is a fee of $25 to attend.  The deadline to register is October 22nd. Those interested can register online at https://www.livcohealthcenter.com/safesitter, or pick up a form at 800 Adam Drive in Chillicothe.  Lunch will be provided.
