Weekend Chillicothe Police Report

One hundred fifty-seven calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department from Friday through Sunday. Some of the calls include:

On Friday, officers investigated a report of a man throwing a handgun into an alley, but no weapon was found. They also responded to a trespassing complaint on Washington Street, a disturbance on Green Street, and a noise complaint involving a barking dog on JFK Avenue.  Later, four juveniles were caught throwing rocks at a house and vehicle; they were released to their parents.

Saturday’s calls included an assault report and a kidnapping report that turned out to be a scam phone call.

On Sunday, officers checked on a screaming child on Elm Street — the father was consoling the injured child — and responded to a report of possible elderly abuse on Burnam Road, which remains under investigation.
