Motorcycle Driver Has Serious Injuries In Crash

A motorcycle driver had serious injuries when he crashed his bike Thursday evening, east of Brookfield on US 36.  At about 5:11 pm, the 41-year-old man from Unionville was westbound at a high rate of speed, failed to negotiate an intersection.  He ran off the left side of the road and went airborne.  He was not wearing a helmet and was taken to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.

At 5:15 pm, State Troopers in Linn County arrested 41-year-old Kolton P. Pearson of Unionville on six charges.  They include: alleged driving while revoked – 2nd or 3rd offense, aggravated fleeing, resisting arrest, speeding, careless and imprudent driving, and no valid plates.  He was released for medical treatment.
