Child Injured In Semi Crash

A semi truck crash left an 11-year-old Brunswick boy with moderate injuries on Wednesday afternoon.  State Troopers report the accident occurred at about 4:19 pm on US 24 near Keytesville.  According to the report, the boy was a passenger in a truck driven by a 51-year-old Dalton man, who was northbound and had equipment failure.  The truck went off the right side of the road.  The child was taken to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.  Both were wearing safety belts.
