Chillicothe Police handled 73 calls for service on Thursday. Items in the report include:
Early in the morning, around 7:00 am, they responded to a commercial fire alarm at a care facility, which was found to be false.
Late in the morning, officers took a fraud report from a bank customer who said money was taken from their account. They also investigated a report of a reckless driver on 3rd and Vine.
In the afternoon, officers responded to a possible domestic disturbance on Easton Street. A minor, non-injury crash on Business 36 East resulted in a report. Later, officers were called to a restaurant after customers refused to pay for food; the matter was resolved when the customers paid.
Officers also handled a custody dispute on Clay Street and checked on a reported shoplifting at an Elm Street store, determining no crime occurred. Just before 6:00 pm, they cleared a vehicle-versus-deer incident on Brunswick Street.
That evening, routine business checks continued, and just after 10:00 pm, officers conducted a welfare check on a driver asleep at a business on East Business 36. The driver was cited for improper display of license plates, and the plates were seized.
