For the third year, the price of the traditional Thanksgiving Dinner has dropped. American Farm Bureau’s annual look at the cost of the typical Thanksgiving feast in the Midwest shows a drop of about 5% over 2024. The average cost for dinner for 10 is $55.18. That includes turkey, dressing, and all the trimmings.
Turkey prices declined 16%, bringing the cost of a 16-pound bird to $21.50.
Other prices varied from last year. These include a gallon of whole milk rose 16.3%, and 3 pounds of sweet potatoes up 37%.
Dinner rolls and cubed stuffing each dropped 14% and 9% from 2024, but fresh cranberries dropped 2.8%.
