A report of a brush fire at 2100 Litton Road on Tuesday evening summoned Chillicothe Firefighters. The call came in at about 10:52 pm, and the fire crew arrived in five minutes with the brush truck to find a brush pile that had been set on fire earlier in the day, and high winds began blowing embers around. A second brush truck and a tanker were called in to assist. Water, foam, and a skid steer were used to put out the fire.
The fire crew was on the scene for about an hour and 16 minutes. They advised the property owner to monitor the pile as the winds could stir up embers.
