Weather will be a factor in the roadwork plans across north Missouri as we move into the winter weather season, but MoDOT does have several projects still taking place or in the plans.
For the week of December 1st to the 5th, the projects in the area counties include:
Caldwell County
Route D – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project at the Shoal Creek Bridge through December.
US 36 – Pavement repair westbound at the DeKalb County line, Tuesday – Thursday.
Carroll County
Route JJ – CLOSED at the West Fork Wakenda Creek Bridge, northwest of Norborne, through mid-December.
Route B – CLOSED at the Sambo Creek Bridge through mid-January.
Route J – Shoulder work from the Chariton County line to US 65, all week, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. The roadway will be narrowed to one lane with flaggers guiding motorists through the work zone.
Chariton County
Route CC – CLOSED at the Yellow Creek Bridge for a replacement project through December.
Route PP – CLOSED at the Mid-Fork Chariton River Bridge and Chariton River Overflow Bridge for replacement projects through March.
Route KK – CLOSED at the Puzzle Creek Bridge for a replacement project through mid-March.
Route O – CLOSED at the Bee Creek Bridge beginning Monday, for a replacement project through April.
Livingston County
Route D – remains CLOSED at the Shoal Creek Drainage Ditch bridge, south of Ludlow, for a bridge deck replacement project through early December.
Sullivan County
Route T – CLOSED at the East Locust Creek bridge due to deterioration. The bridge is scheduled to be replaced in the spring of 2026.
