A crash in Caldwell County closed the westbound lanes of US 36 at Route J for a short time Friday morning. The Missouri Highway Patrol reported the serious injury accident occurred at about 6:23 am, when a semi driven by a Shawnee, Kansas man was southbound on Route J and stopped in the westbound lane, and a westbound car driven by a 27-year-old Hamilton man struck the front driver’s side of the semi.
The Hamilton man was not wearing a safety belt and had serious injuries. He was taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment. The driver of the truck had minor injuries and was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment.
