The Chillicothe Municipal Airport is estimating traffic at about 500 planes a year. Airport Manager Toby Calivere says that is based on planes that fuel at the airport.
That doesn’t include touch-and-go’s and turbine aircraft.
Calivere says 30-35 planes a month come in and out of the airport. He said that’s a good number for our size facility.
FAA studies show Chillicothe is near the top.
The city installed a self-serve fuel system at the airport, and the city has maintained a price that is noticed by pilots. Calivere says that is one area that has drawn pilots to the airport.
