Sixty-six calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Thursday. Some of the calls include:
Officers secured a business after finding an open door on International Road, with no crime discovered. Police also conducted a welfare check near Cowgill and Waples, where a woman declined assistance. A possible phone scam was reported, though no personal information was given to the caller.
Detectives were contacted on a report of a historical sexual abuse allegation from 2018; the investigation is ongoing and the victim is not currently in danger.
During a traffic stop on Washington Street, a driver was arrested for driving while suspended and later released with a citation.
Officers also conducted traffic stops, business checks, and followed up with numerous investigations.
