Chillicothe Wrestling Emerges with Winning Record at Sam Richardson Duals

The Chillicothe Hornets wrestling team competed over two days at the Sam Richardson Duals, facing a strong field that included Mid-Buchanan, Owensville, Reeds Spring, St. James, and Kirksville.

On Friday, Chillicothe opened with a 48–24 win over Reeds Spring. Victories were earned by Marshall Boon (106), Statler Wiebers (113), Riggin Isaacs (120), Karsin Lent (126), Case Stretch (144), Jacob Montes (150), Sam Wiebers (175), and Brendan Gardner (285).

The Hornets also secured a close 42–34 win over St. James. Wins included Marshall Boon (106), Statler Wiebers (113), Riggin Isaacs (120), Karsin Lent (126), Damian White (132), Case Stretch (144), and Sam Wiebers (175).

On Saturday, Chillicothe fell to Mid-Buchanan 56–27. Individual wins for the Hornets came from Marshall Boon (106), Damian White (132), Case Stretch (144), and Brendan Gardner (285), all by fall.

Chillicothe rebounded later in the day with a 52–30 victory over Owensville. The Hornets recorded wins from Marshall Boon (106), Statler Wiebers (113), Riggin Isaacs (120), Karsin Lent (126), Damian White (132), Case Stretch (150), Sam Wiebers (175), Cason Roney (215), and Brendan Gardner (285).

Chillicothe closed the event with a narrow 43–42 loss to Kirksville, decided by tiebreaker criteria. Marshall Boon (106), Damian White (132), Paxton Keith (138), Case Stretch (144), Sam Wiebers (175), Ethan Mercer (190), and Riggin Isaacs (120) all picked up wins for the Hornets.
