Two Crashes Near Cameron Saturday Took One Driver’s Life

A two-vehicle crash Saturday on US 36 in Cameron took the life of one driver and left two children in that vehicle injured.  State Troopers report the crash occurred on US 36 at Missouri 33, west of Cameron, at about 8:54 pm, when the Cameron man was northbound on Highway 33 and pulled into the path of the eastbound semi.

The 34-year-old driver of the car died at the crash.  A 13-year-old boy had serious injuries, and a 12-year-old girl had moderate injuries.  Both were taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.  The driver of the semi was not injured

 

A second crash on US 365 at Missouri 33 near Cameron occurred at about 9:00 pm as the 21-year-old Cameron man was eastbound and at the scene of the previous crash, and due to smoke or fog, ran into the median, and his vehicle overturned and struck the trailer of the semi from the first crash.  He was not wearing a safety belt and had moderate injuries.  He was taken Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.
