Weekend Chillicothe Police Report

The Chillicothe Police Department handled 142 calls from Friday through Sunday.  Some of the significant calls included:

On Friday evening, officers responded to a woman in crisis in the 1200 block of Easton Street. Officers provided assistance and resources, and no further action was required.

Saturday’s activity included a runaway juvenile call on Dickinson Street that was resolved with help from the juvenile’s mother.  They later returned for a verbal domestic disturbance with property damage involving juveniles. Officers took a report of identity theft that remains under investigation.  Later Saturday night, a traffic stop led to the arrest of a suspect connected to a stealing investigation.

On Sunday afternoon, officers investigated a two-vehicle crash at Park Lane and Washington Street after a driver ran a red light. No injuries were reported. Officers also conducted a welfare check on an elderly man who was found to be safe, responded to a report of reckless driving at Chillicothe High School, and de-escalated a verbal domestic disturbance on West Mohawk.
