Caldwell County Sheriff’s Report

The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department reports a busy month in December with multiple arrests, investigations, and traffic stops across the county. Deputies responded to several domestic disturbances, resulting in arrests for domestic assault in Kidder and Polo, while other incidents ended without arrests. There were also multiple reports involving suicidal subjects, with individuals safely transported for medical evaluations.

Deputies investigated several burglaries and thefts in Polo and Hamilton, some of which remain under investigation, along with reports of vehicle tampering and property damage. Two unattended deaths were reported, with no foul play suspected.

Law enforcement made numerous traffic stops throughout the month for speeding, expired plates, and registration violations. Arrests included driving while intoxicated, no driver’s license, resisting arrest, and failure to register as a sex offender.

The Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate several ongoing cases and reminds residents to report suspicious activity.
