City Council Receives Draft Of Incentive Policies

Incentive policies for economic development for the City of Chillicothe were presented by City Attorney Robert Cowherd as part of the City Council meeting.

A draft policy and examples from other cities.

City Administrator Roze Frampton says the policy was requested by the council.

Providing a guide when considering tax incentives.

The council will need to determine what incentives they want to include and the thresholds to be applied when making their decisions.

Could include multiple thresholds based on the project and incentives sought.

The sample policy presented was a draft they can start from to craft something appropriate for Chillicothe.
