Chillicothe Police Report Include Area Runaway

The Chillicothe Police Department had 82 calls for service Thursday, including assisting emergency services with medical calls and several well-being checks.

2:01 am, Officers received information of a runaway juvenile from Gallatin, that may be in Chillicothe.  As the Officers were searching for the subject, a traffic stop was made at about 3:50 am, near the 1000 block of S. Washington Street,  The runaway was found in the juvenile in the vehicle and was taken to the Chillicothe Police Department.  The Juvenile Office was notified and the Gallatin Police Department came to take the youth into custody.

12:38 pm, Complaint of a dog left in a vehicle in the 100 block of N. Washington Street.  Officers found windows down and sunroof open.  Dog in no distress.

1:09 pm, Request to check the well-being of kids in the 1100 block of Polk Street.  Officers checked and found the kids were OK.

3:03 pm, Report of possible animal neglect in the 600 block of Saint Louis.  The dog was found with no food or water.  Officers made contact with the owner.

3:18 pm, Officers were in the 1000 block Graves on an investigation of stealing.  One person was taken into custody, processed and released.

4:24 pm, Request to check the well-being of someone in the 600 block of Highland that was having anxiety issues.  Officers spoke with the person on the phone.  The person advised they were going to seek treatment on their own Friday and that they are fine.

5:01 pm, Complaint of a dog running loose in the 1300 block of Jackson Street.  The dog was caught by Animal Control.

7:26 pm, Officers made a well-being check in the 1000 block of Webster and found the person was indicating that they were considering self-harm.  That person voluntarily went to Hedrick Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.

11:30 pm, Due to heavy rain Officers and the Chillicothe Street Department had to place temporary barricades at numerous roadway flooding locations around town.
