The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for portions of the Grand River. The Flood Warning is for the Grand River at Chillicothe and Sumner.
At Chillicothe, the river is rising rapidly and is expected to be above flood stage of 24 feet this morning and crest at 27.9 feet around 7:00 this evening. Flooding will continue until about 1:00 pm Saturday.
At Sumner, the river will rise above flood stage of 26 feet in the overnight hours, with a crest of 26.2 feet. The river is expected to quickly falling back below flood stage Saturday morning.
