Marshall Woman Died In A Lafayette County Crash – Four Chillicothe Residents Injured

A two-vehicle crash in Lafayette County Friday evening took the life of a Marshall woman and left four Chillicothe residents injured.  State Troopers report the crash occurred on US 65, near Waverly, as a 28-year-old Marshall woman was southbound and a 32-year-old woman from Chillicothe was northbound and had three passengers: a 35-year-old man, a 4-year-old boy, and a 2-year-old girl.  State Troopers report the Marshall woman lost control on the ice-covered roadway and crossed the centerline, colliding head-on with the northbound vehicle.  The Marshall woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Chillicothe woman and man had moderate injuries, and the children had minor injuries.  All four were taken to Carroll County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
