Chillicothe City Council To Have A Finance Workshop & Council Meeting Monday

A Finance Workshop will be held for the Chillicothe City Council on Monday, starting at 5:00 pm in Council Chambers.

The Chillicothe City Council will meet in regular session on Monday at 5:30 pm at City Hall.  The agenda includes several appearances and a closed executive session.  Following the finance items, appearances include:

  • Street Superintendent Jeff Gillespie and Police Chief Jon Maples will introduce new employees.
  • Chuck Erke with Main Street Chillicothe will introduce the new Executive Director – McKensie Saunders.
  • Chief Maples will present the FBI LEEDA Trilogy to the Chillicothe Police Department’s leadership team.
  • Maples will also discuss the new DAS radio testing results
  • Fire Chief Eric Reeter will present a resolution to adopt the Livingston County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan.
  • Chief Reeter will discuss sending the new Fire Truck to Columbia for the Fire Show on February 5th and 6th.
  • Reeter will present an ordinance for the purchase of 15 sets of turnout gear.
  • CMU General Manager Matt Hopper will request the council accept the bid for a new refuse truck.
  • Hopper will present a request to burn within the city limits
  • City Administrator Roze Frampton will present an ordinance accepting a bid for the Alley Storm Water Project.
  • City Clerk Amy Hess will present an ordinance extending the supervised work release program.
  • City Auditor Allison Jefferies will lead a discussion on the July 4th Fireworks display.

A closed executive session is planned to follow the meeting to handle legal, real estate, and personnel matters.
