A Linn County 4H club is one of 17 youth groups to be awarded grants from the Missouri Department of Agriculture’s 2026 Building Our American Communities grant program.
Director of Agriculture Chris Chinn says, “Year after year we see terrific projects and community impact from FFA chapters and 4-H clubs across Missouri. This year is no different, and we are proud to support efforts that will make a difference in these communities for years to come.”
In Linn County, the Shafter 4-H Club of Linneus will receive $500 toward their project, which may include upgrades or additions to existing facilities, grounds or buildings, such as fairgrounds, parks, or community centers, used by local organizations.
