CMU Water And Wastewater Project

A sewer and water line project for CMU will go around the east side of Chillicothe.  CMU General Manager Matt Hopper says the Sewer line portion is called the Eastside Intercepter.

Tie in on Jackson Street and elevate flow issues.

Hopper explained that a portion of the sewer line will cut through the current industrial park.  As part of the project, they will be clearing the right-of-way by removing trees.

Must be completed in the winter months to protect the endangered Indiana Bat.

Part of the wood will be moved to the CMU Burn Pile, while they will also create a couple of burn piles near where the trees are cut.  Being able to burn near where the trees are cut will save CMU around $30,000.
