Puerto Rican Man Injured In Truck Crash

A Puerto Rican man was injured when the truck he was riding in overturned on Route C, 15 miles south of Marceline in Chariton County.  According to the Highway Patrol, the driver, a 30-year-old man from Temple, Pennsylvania, was westbound and ran off the right side of the road. He overcorrected, went off the left side of the road, and the truck overturned.  The passenger, a 24-year-old man from Puerto Rico, had minor injuries and was taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital for treatment.  The driver was not injured.
