Statement From The County Clerk On Voter Registration Messages

As a result of a message received by a Livingston County voter, the Livingston County Clerk and Election Authority, Sherry Parks, released the following statement.

“If you receive text messages or any other form of communication regarding your voter registration, other than mail that is clearly from the County Clerk’s office, it is not issued by this office or anyone with authority. Missouri Election Authorities do not communicate this way and voters have reported receiving inaccurate messages regarding their voter registration status. The Livingston County Clerk will only send you mailers during 1) the biennial canvass process, which has been finalized at this time; 2) a letter or voter registration card if you register to vote; or 3) a letter or voter registration card if you move and update your registration. Please do not hesitate to contact the Livingston County Clerk if you have concerns regarding your voter registration status at 660-646-8000 ext 3 or check on the Missouri Secretary of State’s website at https://voteroutreach.sos.mo.gov/portal
