Missouri Drought Alert

A Drought Alert is in effect until April 1st for the State of Missouri.  The Missouri Department of Natural Resources encourages reporting of drought conditions through its Condition Monitoring Observer Reports (CMOR).

According to the most recent Drought Monitor, 94.59% of Missouri is Abnormally Dry, down from 97.12% the previous week.  Less than 2% of the state is experiencing Extreme Drought conditions.

In the local area, Carroll County and most of Caldwell and Livingston, and portions of Chariton and Linn County are showing no drought.  Portions of Daviess, Grundy, and Sullivan Counties are under Moderate Drought, and the remainder of the local area shows under abnormally dry conditions.
