Sentenced To Prison For Assault

A man who pled guilty to the charge of Assault – special victim has been sentenced to prison time.  Thirty-seven-year-old Derrick Hill was charged in September of 2025 with assault – special victim, attempting to disarm a police officer, and resisting.  In January, Hill pled guilty to the assault charge; the disarming and resisting charges were dismissed.

This week, Hill was sentenced to five years in prison with the sentence to be served consecutively to any other sentences.
