Chillicothe Police For Monday

Sixty-seven calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Monday,

Officers spent much of the day assisting residents with questions involving protection orders, child custody, harassment, housing, and possible stolen property.

A scam was reported late in the morning, where a caller falsely claimed to be from the police department and threatened to shut off a resident’s internet. Officers confirmed it was a scam and advised the resident accordingly.

Police also responded to a report of a careless and imprudent driver near Washington and Locust, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

In the afternoon, officers took a report of trespassing in the 1500 block of Hickory Drive. That investigation is ongoing.

Additionally, a lost cell phone was turned in and will be returned to its owner.
