A large-scale methamphetamine and narcotics investigation resulted in twenty-three state criminal indictments and the execution of a coordinated arrest operation across Grundy County. The Trenton Police Department reports the investigation focused on the distribution of illegal drugs, including over a dozen counts of Distribution of a Controlled Substance in a Protected Location, including near community schools and public parks, where the safety of families and children is a primary concern.
This operation was spearheaded by the Northwest Missouri Drug Task Force, with assistance from the Trenton Police Department, the Grundy, Daviess, Clinton, and Buchanan County Sheriff’s Offices, the Missouri Highway Patrol, and the US Marshal Service.

- 20-year-old Derrick Blain Brown – alleged Distribution of a Controlled Substance in a Protected Location.
- 36-year-old Veronica C. Ruiz – alleged Distribution of a Controlled Substance in a Protected Location.
- 49-year-old Jacky Earl Kennedy – alleged Hindering Prosecution of a Felony.
- 57-year-old Samantha Ratkovich – alleged Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Law Enforcement is actively seeking to arrest an additional nine individuals associated with these criminal indictments.
