A boil water advisory is issued by Chillicothe Municipal Utilities for North Park Avenue, North Vine Street, and North Elm Street.
The Boil Advisory is due to a water main break.
Under the boil advisory, water used for cooking or drinking should be boiled for at least three minutes. Ice cubes made with tap water should be thrown out and remade with boiled water.
Surfaces that come in contact with raw or prepared foods should be sanitized with boiled water and a teaspoon of bleach per gallon of water.
Residents affected by the Boil Advisory will be notified when it is lifted.
