Chillicothe City Council Meets Tuesday

The Chillicothe City Council will meet Tuesday evening.  Due to the Memorial Day Holiday, the meeting was moved to Tuesday at 5:30 pm in council chambers at City Hall.

Following the financial reports, items on the agenda include:

  1. Mayor to make a recommendation for 2nd Ward Councilman
  2. Mayor – Discussion on the search for a City Administrator.
  3. Member of Chillicothe EAA Chapter to request the Council’s approval for camping at airport on the evening of Friday June 19th for the Fly In being held on Saturday June 20th.
  4. Eric Reeter – Add Items to the Surplus list
  5. Eric Reeter – Discussion on change order for the painting wheels on Ariel Truck
  6. Matt Hopper – An ordinance authorizing the City of Chillicothe to enter into a lease-purchase agreement, for the purpose of financing certain public improvements and authorizing and approving certain actions in connection with the execution and delivery of said lease-purchase agreement.
  7. Jon Maples – Discussion on Law Enforcement Grants
  8. Jon Maples – Ordinance Accepting an Agreement for the Purchase of Four (4) Body Cams.
  9. John Maples – Ordinance accepting the lowest responsible bid of 2 Police Pursuit Vehicles.
  10. Jeff Gillespie- Ordinance Approving the Purchase of a New Street Dept Truck with Dump Bed
  11. Amy Hess – Ordinance accepting the Highest and Best BID for a lot located at 821 Walnut Street in Chillicothe, MO.
  12. Amy Hess – Ordinance amending sections 215.040 and 215.060 of the City Code in regard to Nuisances, Dangerous Buildings and Weed Abatement.
  13. Amy Hess- Ordinance Amending Section 205.290(C) of the City Code in regard to Restrictions on Vicious Dogs.
  14. Robert Cowherd -Ordinance Authorizing an Intergovernmental Cooperative agreement with the Livingston County Emergency Services Board.

A closed executive session is planned to follow the regular meeting to handle legal, personnel, and sealed bids or legal documents.
