Weekend Chillicothe Police Report

The Chillicothe Police Department Report for the weekend includes 162 calls for service.

Friday, officers responded to several incidents, including a pickup spinning tires and removing a yard sign on Keith Avenue, and a self-harm incident on Jackson Street, where a 39-year-old man was transported to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment. Police assisted a confused elderly man on South Washington Street and investigated a single-vehicle crash on East Bridge Street involving a vehicle in a ditch.

Saturday, officers investigated a possible crash detected by an automated system near Highway 36 and Coon Creek – no accident was located. Police took a woman into protective custody following a disturbance at the police department and she was later found lying in a parking lot after crossing traffic lanes. Other calls included a reported sideswipe accident, a welfare check involving a 92-year-old man, and reckless driving complaints involving lifted trucks doing burnouts in a parking lot on Graves Street. Officers also handled a domestic disturbance on Mohawk Road.

Sunday, officers checked on an elderly man in a parking lot attempting to wave down customers and responded to a non-injury traffic accident at Washington and Calhoun Streets.

Police also conducted numerous traffic stops, business checks, vehicle checks, and follow-up investigations throughout the weekend.
