The property at 821 Walnut Street has been sold to the highest bidder. The City of Chillicothe completed the demolition and clearing of the lot at 821 Walnut, and accepted bids until last week. They received only one bid for the property, which was from Chillicothe Area Christian Builders for $7,501.
They will have two years to build a single-family home on the property.
The sale was approved on a vote of 3-0 with Tom Ashbrook abstaining due to a conflict of interest.
