A report of a house fire Monday morning was handled by the Chillicothe Fire Department. The call came in at 4:33 am to 1812 Country Club Drive. The fire crew arrived in five minutes to find heavy smoke coming from the eaves and the homeowner standing at the door. Fire was found on the back side of the roof and sofits. Fire crews used about 1,000 gallons of water to put out the fire and were on the scene for about two hours and twenty minutes. The fire may have been caused by lightning
