Two crashes in the area counties Wednesday left three injured.
State Troopers in Livingston County responded to the crash on LIV 2164, west of Chillicothe, at about 11:50 am. The report states a two-vehicle crash occurred as a 16-year-old boy from Chillicothe was westbound on LIV 2164, and a 37-year-old Wheeling woman was southbound on LIV 235. The teen slowed for a left turn but struck the left front of the other vehicle, causing it to travel down an embankment and roll onto its side. The Wheeling woman had minor injuries and was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment.
In Chariton County at about 1:05 pm, a two-vehicle crash on US 24 near Salisbury left both drivers injured. Troopers report the crash occurred as both vehicles were westbound, and a 51-year-old Clifton Hill man was passing in a no-passing zone while a 46-year-old Muscatine, IA man was attempting to make a left turn and was struck by the Clifton Hill driver. The Iowa man had moderate injuries and was taken to Moberly Regional Medical Center. The Missouri man refused treatment of minor injuries.
