Wednesday Morning Storm Causes Emergency Services Radio Problems

The Chillicothe Emergency Services radios for both police and fire suffered a brief outage this morning.  Thunderstorms moved across the community, with heavy rain and cloud-to-ground lightning.

At the Fire Department, their console radio is down, but mobile and handheld units are working.

911 Director Eric Menconi says they had some radio issues, but back-ups allowed them to continue with dispatch and 911 services without delay.

Technicians have been called to check the radio systems.
