A 64-year-old Kidder man suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning at the intersection of Caldwell Road and JC Penny Road, approximately three miles southeast of Kidder.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the collision occurred around 7:50 a.m. when a southbound 2023 GMC Yukon and an eastbound 2009 Chevrolet pickup entered the uncontrolled intersection at the same time. The front of the GMC struck the passenger side of the pickup.
Both vehicles traveled off the roadway and came to rest against a utility pole. The pickup overturned and came to rest on top of the GMC.
The driver of the pickup, a 64-year-old man from Kidder, sustained serious injuries and was transported by Caldwell County Ambulance to Liberty Hospital.
The driver of the GMC, a 29-year-old man from Pattonsburg, was reportedly wearing a seat belt and was not listed as injured.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.
