Four Injured In Two Crashes In Area Counties

State Troopers investigated two crashes in the area counties Friday night.

At about 10:30 pm in Caldwell County, a two-vehicle crash left three with injuries. The report states a 44-year-old Lathrop man was westbound on Missouri 116, near Polo, and a 45-year-old Ludlow woman was eastbound, when the Lathrop man crossed the center line. The Ludlow woman swerved, but was struck, causing her vehicle to go off the road and up an embankment. Both vehicles were totaled. The Lathrop man had moderate injuries; the Ludlow woman and her 15-year-old passenger had minor injuries. All three were taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment. They were wearing safety belts.

At about 11:45 pm on Price Ridge Avenue at the Mussel Fork Bridge near Keytesville, in Chariton County, a single-vehicle crash left the driver injured. The report states the 22-year-old Bosworth man was southbound when he ran off the road and into the creek, and the vehicle became submerged. The driver was able to get out and was found walking about two miles from the crash. He was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
