Three people were injured in two single-vehicle incidents over the weekend. State Troopers report one included a farm tractor with serious. The other on an UTV, resulting in minor injuries.
Saturday at about 3:00 pm in Linn County, Troopers responded to a report of a tractor in a creek near Bucklin that left the driver with serious injuries. The crash occurred on Maple Drive, a mile northwest of Bucklin, when a 64-year-old man was northbound and ran off the right side of the road, corrected and crossed the road, and struck a bridge rail. The tractor overturned into the creek. The driver was transported to a landing site and flown to University Hospital in Columbia.
Saturday at about 9:25 pm, a UTV crash on SE 1051 Road in Henry County left a 35-year-old Green Ridge woman and a 12-year-old Brunswick girl with minor injuries. A 38-year-old man from Brunswick was driving the UTV and swerved to miss an animal. The UTV overturned. His passengers were taken to Golden Valley Hospital for treatment. The driver was not injured.
