Nearly 100 calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Monday, including an arrest for suspected impaired driving.
Officers investigated a property damage report in the 1100 block of Northwood Terrace that remains under investigation. Police also responded to reports of suspicious individuals, assisted a stranded motorist, checked on neglected dogs, and handled several calls involving questions about fraud, child custody, stolen property, and vehicles.
Monday evening, officers responded to two separate fireworks complaints, contacting juveniles and their parents in both cases. The incidents were resolved after those involved agreed to stop.
The day’s only arrest came just before 10:30 p.m., when a 48-year-old man was arrested following a traffic stop at Clay and Locust streets on suspicion of driving while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.
