Just under 100 calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Tuesday.
The day’s most significant incident came just before 2:00 am, when officers arrested a 26-year-old man for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop at the junction of US Highways 36 and 65. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.
Officers also investigated a report of possible drug activity, took a report of a runaway juvenile who was later located and referred to the Livingston County Juvenile Office, and are continuing to investigate a hit-and-run crash. Other calls included suspicious vehicle and parking complaints, two well-being checks, an animal control call involving a dog left in a vehicle, and several public assistance requests.
