The Chillicothe Police Department reported a busy day Tuesday, including welfare checks, a domestic disturbance, and a court order violation.
Officers responded to several welfare checks throughout the day, investigated a fraud complaint involving scam phone calls, and resolved an illegal dumping complaint after the responsible party agreed to pay disposal costs.
The day’s most significant incident came during a follow-up investigation on Jackson Street, where officers arrested a person for violating an active order of protection. They were taken to a local medical facility for evaluation, issued a citation, and later released.
Other activity included a traffic stop that resulted in a warning for expired registration, business checks, and a late-night noise complaint that had ended before officers arrived.
